American Express required a renovation to their staff canteen. Innovation created a bright and light space and created a ‘Café’ rather than a canteen.
Large graphic panels are incorporated at the entrance and along the back wall to give a non-corporate and contemporary feel to the space, somewhere the staff can relax away from their desk.

Touchdown spaces are provided – plug-in spaces along the high bar seating benches give an alternative space to work.

The suspended ceiling is punctuated by circular cutouts which are lit to give accent general lighting. The circular theme is carried through to other elements such as notice boards, porthole windows and flooring. The fit-out was completed in 10 days to minimise down time.
